The pre-course contains lessons and tests that address the content of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and the National Physical Therapy Assistant Examination (NPTAE). It is meant to give you a guide and study materials that are needed to gain knowledge of the exams content. You can and should supplement the materials with your own materials.
This course is designed to be used in conjunction with the seminar which will focus on the application of your knowledge in patient care situations. This course is designed to give you the knowledge.
Students that should use this pre-course are internationally trained therapists that may not have been taught certain content areas in their training such as the integumentary system and research/evidence based practice. United States trained therapists that have been out of school over 5 years or those that feel that some of the content areas were not presented adequately during their physical therapy education.
This course is strictly optional and can assist you in acquiring knowledge and help to structure your study. You do not have to fully complete this lengthy course before you take a seminar. It is available to you 24/7 so you can work on this any time. The tests are timed and you will see how long it is for each test before you start. Most students complete this course in 2-3 months, but it is available to you for 6 months.
