Course Descriptions

FOR THE PHYSICAL THERAPISTS

There are two options, both courses cover the identical content and follow the current NPTE content outline.  Both courses provide the student with the opportunity to more fully explore and learn how to answer the questions on the NPTE by exploring the concepts of how to evaluate and perform differential diagnosis as needed to provide the best therapeutic diagnosis, prognosis and intervention for the situational based problems used to test your ability to practice on the NPTE.  Based on 17 years of preparing PT’s and PTA’s for repeating their Boards, we confidently say that it is this component, not any lack of core knowledge that is lacking in US educated DPT’s who do not pass on their first attempt.

INTERNET SEMINAR: The four week internet seminar is preferred by students who cannot or choose not to travel and are very comfortable doing most of the work in written form.  Like the Live Seminar it will challenge you to make the best clinical decisions through the application of theory and concepts, but will do so primarily through projects and assigned papers rather than live lecture.

If you choose this option, you need to have the time to commit at least 29 hours per week.  There are papers and bulletin board postings that have to be done in a timely manner. You can study 24/7 but there are deadlines that need to be met. This requires self-organization and commitment.  If you crave personalized feedback then the Internet seminar is the one for you.

*If you have learning disabilities expect to need to devote more time to the Internet seminar than most.

INTERNET PRE-COURSE   Recommend and essential, but only for students not educated in the United States or out of school over five years.  This is sold only with a full review course.  The Pre-Course is a comprehensive knowledge review intended to give students that have been out of school over a three years the knowledge that is needed to keep up in our other courses. FOR THE PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT

There are two options, both courses cover the identical content and follow the current NPTAE content outline.  Both courses provide the student with the opportunity to more fully explore and learn how to answer the questions on the NPTAE.  Both courses will challenge you to make the best clinical decisions that affect the implementation of a physical therapy treatment plan. This includes appropriate communications with the physical therapist and other healthcare professionals in a variety of settings that a PTA may practice.

Based on 17 years of preparing PT’s and PTA’s for repeating their Boards, we confidently say that it is this component, not any lack of core knowledge that is lacking in US educated PTA’s  who do not pass on their first attempt.
